Ça Tourne Productions

We are passionate about film, television and digital media in its many forms. The author’s perspective is paramount in both our fictional and documentary work. We seek to create works with a social conscience that are both audacious and entertaining, and striking in their treatment of topics and visual portrayal. Our mission is to make films that are meaningful both for our region and for the rest of the world.

Colette Mallais

In January 2020, Colette Mallais joins Ça Tourne Productions to take charge of the company’s administrative management. In addition to her management role, Colette collaborates actively with Renée Blanchar on the company’s various project presentations, as well as on funding applications for current productions. In the early 2000s, Colette embarked on a career in television production, co-founding Cojak productions, a company that spent more than a decade making its mark across the Atlantic. Following the death of her spouse and business partner, Colette worked as a producer and administrator for Productions du milieu for ten years. With twenty-five years in the business, she has a solid background in both administration and field work.

Les Foley (in development)

The Foleys is a six-episode miniseries that tells the story of Laura Dewey-Foley, a forty-two-year-old biologist who works at the University of Toronto Research Institute. Following the death of her mother and serious professional misconduct, she voluntarily goes into exile on the island of Miscou, in eastern Canada to work. This island is not trivial in the history of Laura since her mother, Evelyne Foley, was born there. Miscou is a wild territory, populated by a handful of singular islanders, who live with their own codes and that Laura will upset by conducting a disturbing investigation into her origins. While carrying out her research, Laura did not expect to understand herself better and even less to reconnect with her daughter, Emma who at the age of ten chose to live with her father in a large city of Europe following her parents’ divorce.
