Written by : Charles Beaudette et Gabriel Tougas

Unrigged (RESET! in French) is a documentary series that examines the most pervasive barriers and blind spots of our democracy, and explores the paths to solving them. Self described “professional rabble-rouser” Dave Meslin is our guide as he charts the democratic ecosystem, explaining its ins and outs, and highlighting the underestimated ways in which it is failing us. Along the way, we meet teachers, activists, advocates, officials-everyday people from around the world who, fed up with the status quo, found creative solutions to build better governments and communities. With his down-to-earth approach and tack-sharp wit, Dave looks at well-known issues, like voting reform and political parties, but also unexpected ones, like the role that advertising plays in public spaces, or the legal constraints placed on charitable organizations’ advocacy. Funny, engaging, and empowering, Unrigged will reintroduce viewers to the voice we all have.
