Ça Tourne Productions is a boutique production company with large scale ambitions. Our auteur-driven approach is daring and accessible, in both fiction and documentary. We embrace the singular aspects of each project by producing original content mainly in Acadia: a cluster of tenacious, French-speaking territories in Eastern Canada. Our productions are seen the world over. They win awards. But most importantly, they bring our stories to you!
Renée Blanchar
After completing her studies in directing in Paris, Renée Blanchar returned to Canada and began her cinematic journey. Producer, director, screenwriter, she enjoys a solid reputation. Renée has directed more than a dozen documentaries that have received numerous awards. Master of the television series Belle-Baie for five seasons, she made a remarkable return to television (2021-2024) by writing and directing three seasons of the series Le monde de Gabrielle Roy, for which she received a nomination for best direction.

As a key player in Canada’s screen industry, the APFC promotes the outstanding content created by independent French-language producers. For nearly 25 years, we have represented and supported producers and creators. How do we do it? By defending the cultural and economic value of their work; implementing innovative professional development initiatives so they can remain competitive; constantly monitoring trends in the audiovisual industry; and building new opportunities. Our 26 member producers, who are located throughout Canada, work in television, film and digital media. Our film library, which contains over 425 titles, leaves no doubt about their talent.
